Christmas Day 2010 @ CWS - No Snow but Lowest Temperature

Christmas Day @ CWS - No Snow but Lowest TemperatureChristmas Day morning brought clear blue skies and the lowest temperature recorded at Chester Weather Station since we started 3 years ago.

At 6:07am the temperature dropped to -12.9°C at CWS beating the previous low of -12°C on 8/1/2010. Hawarden Airport recorded -13.6°C this morning.

No Snow fell at CWS, so well done to all those who voted "No" in our Christmas Day Snow Poll.

From the Met Office:

Using technology such as radar, webcams and ground based sensors combined with the expert opinion of experienced forecasters, the Met Office is able to declare whether or not (YES or NO) snow fell at the following locations on Christmas Day 2010:-

Aberdeen: YES.
Glasgow: YES.
Edinburgh: YES.
London: NO.
Liverpool: NO.
Manchester: NO.
Birmingham: NO.
Cardiff: NO.
Belfast: NO.
